One of the principle challenges of working in a specific kind of notebook, especially one like this made by Charvin Paris, is that you face several constraints. For one, there is a progression of pages, so you follow a sequence, and two, the quality of the paper dictates to some extent the techniques that are most appropriate. These restrictions can also become interesting challenges. The following watercolors are part of the series “Brute Resistance.”
